S-P ALCO PA-1 B unit Paint scheme

Hi. ALCO PA’s got a paint change in the late fifties I believe from Daylight colors to “Lark” dark Gray and bloody nose. Does anyone know how the PA-B unit was painted? Was it also “Lark” dark gray? Was Southern Pacific also painted on the sides like the PA-1 lead unit was? I have been online all over and could not find any photos of the B unit from that time. Any help from you prototype guys would be appriciated. Thank you.

JRP

Rapido has the B-units in matching gray, no red, no ‘Southern Pacific’ lettering as on the As, small white number on the rear carbody side.

I believe they know what they’re doing. I’ll go with that. Thanks Overmod.

Hey JRP, in future, it might help to mention what railroad you’re asking about in the post’s title! Not everyone here is an SP fan/modeler.

I found this by googling. It’s an E unit, but I’m sure they had the same scheme for all B’s.

Fallen Flags may be able to help you.. This link has many of the Alco PA units…
