It’s an AC-12 cab-forward, the last cab-forward ever built and the only one left in the world. It can be seen at the California state Railroad Museum in Sacramento.

When fresh from the paint shop they also had box car red cab roofs to say nothing of window & door frames and various valve handles and injectors.

I did’nt know that,or just never looked real hard,By the way 4449 is one of my fav loco’s and thanks for the info, when I was a fireman on the S.P.(PFE) all we had were diesels.(1963 t0 1964)Roseville to Sparks.Nevada and back. [:)][^]
