Santa came early!!

Oh, yeah favorite loco(s) one can’t resist…
1___Dreyfess steamlined Hudson
2___Niagara
3___Alco PA’s in D&H blue/silver lightning stripe
4___Lowey GG-1(influence of Lionel catalogs from decades ago)
4___UP’s gas turbines
5___Almost any articulated locomotive(North American that is)

How about if they held a gun to my head I wouldn’t buy that loco?

GM Aerotrain. Back to the design studio car guys. Probably the design theme here was to drive the few remaining rail passengers off the railroads of America.[V]

I have a fair collection of Southern early diesels and 6 steamers, (3 in Southern, 3 for a shortline), but WHERE are the RS3’s? I mean, Southern had a number of F’s and some have come out recently, and Intermountain is coming out with more next year, but when has anyone put out any RTR RS3’s? Southern had BUNCHES of them, 148 according to my book. That’s the most of any one type of locomotive on their roster until the GP38-2’s came out (if you count the FT’s, F3’s and F7’s and corresponding B units separately). I understand Athearn is doing the RS3’s, but no word on Southern (yet), I’m still hopefull for the second run of roadnames.

She’s sweet. I haven’t gotten into modern motive power much as steam is my era. I got desperate last year for a gift from Santa so I bought myself a Spectrum N&W #611. Now I have to install DCC + sound. Maybe after this Christmas[8D]

Congrats Dave on the new edition!
