I know, I know what a rotton title for a thread! But I made you look. Speaking of which that was something I wasn’t doing last night when the Caboose and Coal Car uncouple and blocked the track for the next train. If I hadn’t of "planted the trees the Consolidation would have taken the plunge.

And now your trees have a prototypical lean to them! I’ve been hearing some suggestions lately for preventing that plunge, but trees is a new one.

Actually I think it is a good idea. If you have a large layout and there are sections where cars are hidden from view, then a row of trees seems to do the trick. Good thing too or you might be rebuilding a couple of cars.
My brass PRR Consolidation took a header, along with a few resin boxcars on an "unprotected’ curve. Good idea to have some type of scenery between a curve & the edge. The engine & cars are back on line with some minor cosmetic work yet to do on the engine.
Lol, good job. I think you might have found the newest revolution for guard rails… except they might cause a little more damage in the real world. Your pictures added a good touch, though! Oh wow, this is number 50 for me! Hurray, I’ll get a star. Good luck!

Exactly! I have my ‘aggro-trees’ stratigically planted in locations to catch trains should they derail when I run hot. Although I’ve never had a derailment that serious, its nice to know there’re a saftey net.
I think that all the trees where I get to work on the track are female… they’d all rather slap me in the face than be hugged by me.

Wow! That was a close one. Time for some creative forestry on my layout.
Good thing the tree were there. That’s way I always try and have some between the track and the aisle. Many of my engines have be saved from certain doom by trees. [:D]
