I have checked Z-STUFF and ATLAS for a signal bridge to no avail. I don’t like the look of the Lionel signal bridge. What other supplier am I missing? I don’t remember MTH having one. Little help.
You didn’t say whether you needed an operating signal bridge or not. If you don’t need one that lights up, Bachmann makes one in their Plasticville line: http://www.henningscalemodels.com/store/Bachman-Buildings.htm
Yea I guess I should have been more specific. I would like it to operate. I just looked at the cantilevered bridge from MTH but I’m not sure how close to scale it is. I’m sure with a little paint I could improve the looks of it, but if I could find one better I would certainly check it out. Thanks for the help.
heres something that might intrest you. sorry in advance bob if not allowed but its to help in the hobby
http://forum.atlasrr.com/FORUM/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=58350򜯰 this is from atlas rr forum and is talking about atlas coming out with one this year
the bachmann bridge (Plasticville) is excellent - you can kitbash two to cover three track mainlines, and the lights for the signal heads are available from Custom Signals - he also sells Z-stuff, etc.

Thanks for the headsup to Atlas forum. Some very neat stuff there, but I’m really not a rivet counter. The stuff Traincat is making is probably a bit more advanced than what I need to make me happy, but one never knows I may just give it a shot. I would really like to see Z-stuff come out with something that I could integrate with the five block signals I have of theirs now. I would like to daisy chain the signals I have with the signal bridge. I guess I’ll just keep working on it.
have you considered custom signals? www.customsignals.com
I was just on their site. It looks as though I have a lot of choices. Are Custom Signals signals compatible with Z-stuff’s?
Here’s a pic of the postwar Lionel signal bridge with two added lights on the top.
Robert
not sure if custom signals are compatible with z-stuff I’d ask someone at custom signals I know the custom signals are compatible with atlas system.
Yea, I was on custom signals site. I should have bought the Atlas signals in the first place but I was lazy. I didn’t want to take up the track or cut a section to isolate it. That and I thought they were more exspensive. Now I’m wishing I had said “the heck with the money” and just bought the Atlas in the first place. Oh well.
am sure if you put what you have up for sale they’d disappear! as to taking track up if you have a dremel tool and use gargraves track your in business. nice thing about this hobby if you want to use something better do it I have done it a lot I originally used infrared devices then relays now not sure may go the atlas system why the shear ease of implimantation as all the hard electronics is done just a matter of hooking them all up enjoy your handy work in the dark with a brew in hand “life is good”
CB&Q- Thanks for the encouragement. I may just move all my Z-stuff signals to one loop and buy the Atlas for the other three loops.
