Does anyone know of somewhere online that there is an online version of Scalecoat II pain chip chart to look at? i once saw a saw that had it but the paint chips and names of the colors were so tiny i could not make out the names of the colors. Does anyone have a copy of the paint chip chart that is easily readable without straining one’s eyes?
I think they’ll send you one for free if you ask. I wouldn’t trust the colors I saw on a computer anyway, as each computer might show the colors a little differently. I think even the colors on the chart might vary from batch to batch.
Weaver Models is Scale Coat’s primary distributor. Some years back the rep mailed me a paper chart, although I don’t know if that is still available. Contact them on the website link. I’ve always contacted them by phone during business hours and someone, usually a lady, picks up. Friendly service with straight answers.
All well and good to have info online, but unless your monitor is accurately calibrated - if you are trying to judge an actual color match from an online image, it just won;t work. In fact the dithering due to HTML limitations is very evident in some of those colors. And their Pullman Green is what Stewart/Bowser uses on their Reading locos, and it looks like a nearly black square there.

I don’t think Weaver Models is around any longer. They stopped making paint about 3 yrs. ago.
About as long as the last post in this thread, before yours. [:D]
