Does anyone have a suggestion for a paint to replace the I.C. Orange that has been discontinued by Scalecoat?
Tru-Color Paint, TCP-167 Illinois Central Orange, I have not tried Tru-Color Paint yet, but I have ordered a bottle for another project Milwaukee Road Federal Yellow and will be using it in the near future.

Tru-Color Paint uses the color formulations from the old Accupaint line, so it should be a good match. It’s a solvent paint; they say it is airbrush ready, but I feel it needs a small amount of thinning with acetone. Use acetone to clean your airbrush as well. It is available direct

According to their website the IC orange is shown as available in 1 or 2 ounce bottles. It is the spray can that is shown as temporarily unavailable…
Or is the discontinuance a recent happening?

It very well could have been discontinued and the website could be un-updated. However, best thing would be to call them and ask. Then there won’t be any question. I tend not to believe anything unless the horse tells me directly.
