Is there an active rail line that goes through Scotsbluff?? How abour between Soctsbluff and Kimball? Headed there the first weekend in june for a wedding.

Scottsbluff should be a great place with lots of BNSF coal trains heading east on the former CB&Q. Across the North Platte River there would be a lot of UP coal trains on the North Platte sub.
A few miles east of Scotts Bluff is Northport on the BNSF with an interchange with the UP. BNSF Angora Hill starts at Northport. UP runs through Gering, south of the Bluffs. Guernsey, Wyo is west of the Bluffs. There are some landmarks and wagon tracks from the Oregon Trail in the area if you have an interest. Lots of small towns there may be some depots left. UP tracks go west to Yoder which is a little photographed line but now has more traffic to make it worth the time.
