Hi!

What are your go-to suppliers for HO windows/doors? I’m looking for double hungs for a number of houses I will be building.

Thanks!

My personal favorite is Tichy Train Group.

Their inventory is usually pretty extensive and you can find Tichy parts at many dealers and the quality is excellent and price reasonable.

As in the above example—about 20¢ per window—and you get glazing and shades too!

That’s my preference anyway. Have Fun! Ed

Thanks, Ed!!

That’s exactly what I was looking for! Could not remember the company. I got up to the S at walthers and my eyes glazed over!I should have kept going!LOL!

Thanks again!

Tichy makes a great all around resource. I haven’t used the inidvidual parts much, but found them in kits and liked using them.

I tend to spend a lot of time in narrowgauge country. Even if you don’t, Grandt makes a bunch of items that are more Western and/or more narrowgauge specific. For architectural detail parts, see: http://www.grandtline.com/products/arch/ho/ho_scale_small_windows.html

Grandt Line is another supplier.

That’s the other one!! Thank you, Mike and Rich!

Geez, I’m a dope.

NOPE. Terry, we have seen your work and you are no Dope.

Don’t be so hard on yourself. I am trying to remember where I put my layout. [(-D]

Ain’t that the truth. When you get to the point where you can’t find the car, they don’t really need to take your keys away to keep you from driving…[swg]

While the OP’s question has been answered, for people doing modern-era buildings (particularly commercial/industrial buildings), don’t forget Pikestuff/Rix (Walthers Pikestuff Detail Parts listings)

Best of all, Tichy offers a couple of “one of each of what we make” boxes for their windows and doors that are invaluable aids to knowing what is available and what to order for a given project. MicroMark sometimes has them on sale. And don’t ignore what is marked as intended for other scales, too.

There are other lines for windows and doors that are worth exploring for a given project (Alexander, SS Ltd, Sodders, the British firm Wills), but between Tichy, Grandt Line, and Pikestuff you cover a vast array of quality merchandise.

Try this source.Well known for their scale lumber they also have a nice line of HO scale plastic doors and windows. They are packaged in small quanities.
