Seaver Toy Company (STC) Wooden trains

I have an old (1940’s?) children’s wooden train set with five cars that were manufactured by Seaver Toy Co. Markings include “STC” on the side of each car and the tops of the box car and caboose come off .

I haven’t been successful in seeking information on the set nor the company that manufactured it. Does anybody know where I can get some history on this set?
Thanks much…

Seaver Toy Company was located at 350 N. Lima in Burbank, California. Started business in June of 1946 and went out of business 7/27/1966. A buddy of mine is also interested in this company and collecting some of their toys. What is your interest? Are you a collector?

hello, i have a seaver toy company {stc} wooden ship. its black and yellow, its pretty worn but still cool. stc are on the sides, on company name on the bottom. looks like it was made to be pulled behind a child by a thin rope. any info on this, or how can i find out more about it. thank you

I have some Seaver Toy Company pieces that I would like to learn more about. They are numbered. I have trains, ships and a large airplane.

There is an article about Seaver trains in the latest TCA Train Collector Quarterly magazine.
