Watching a video by Tony Koester on how to model a flowing river. In the process he used a sedimentary rock casting that he cut into pieces. Anyone know who makes these? Couldn’t find anything at Walthers.com. It was flexible, so it wasn’t plaster? Thanks.
There are several shown in the Scenic Express Model Landscaping Supplies catalog #16. Their web site is www.scenicexpress.com and their phone number is 1-800-234-9995 if you would like to phone them and ask for a free catalog.
This is a two-part casting resin that sets up hard, but is flexible when first poured and can be softed with a hairdryer to curve it after the fact. This particular product produces a very finely-detailed casting, particularly if you use their molds.
