Seeing Things Differently

In the last three weeks I’ve had cataracks removed from both eyes the last one being yesterday. My scenery has taken on a new look from being brighter to seeing so much more detail. However, some areas of grass and brush will need a going over but overall the layout looks a lot better. Being a little fuzzy did have some advantages though.

I’m looking forward to my next trip underneath the layout so see if getting the screw driver in the slot is any easier. If so that will make my day.

If any one thinks they have cataracks I can’t emphasize how much better you will see with out them. The surgery is surpringly easy at least for the patient. It’s better than some trips to the dentist.

Happy Railroading

This is good to see. I am glad you are back to much better vision. [:)]

What a difference improved vision makes!

A few years ago I had Lasik surgery to correct my life-long astigmatism. WOW! Suddenly the imperfectly-corrected world took on a whole new sharpness.[8D]

The down side was being able to see where my work was cosmetically deficient.[|(]

If your eyesight leaves something to be desired, whatever the reason, by all means, get it corrected - and not just with new glasses.

I’ve not only had catarac’s removed, I’ve had cornea transplants in both eyes due to a hereditary eye desease. I can’t believe how much clearer and sharper everything looks. And as to finding the slot in the screws under the table, much easier.

I’m really happy for you Bob, I’ve known a few people that have been helped tremendously by that same surgery.

Now if they could help me with my “colours” problem, I’m sure the layout would look much better and I would also know when my wife was dressing me funny.[(-D]

Glad to hear it. I love it when a plan comes together.

Good to hear about your improved eyesight. I know exactly what its like to have impaired vision! In my case, though, the lasik surgeons keep pointing me out the door! Nobody wants to touch my eyes including the “best” lasik surgeon in California.

I had laser cataract surgery performed on both eyes last year, and they replaced the lenses in both eyes that corrected my vision to 20/20. It sure makes a remarkable difference, especially in night vision.

I was leagally blind for almost a year until my cateract surgury (both eyes) back in April and wow what a difference. I’m back at the workbench doing the super detailing that I love.

I have been told I am a “2” on a “10” scale at having cataracs developing. I have a long way to go before any surgery, but already I have noticed that I do need more light to see things.

Not looking forward to the prospect of surgery on my eyes but most who ahve had it rave about it.

I agree with the above posts that a person can see much more clearly following cataract surgery. In my case every thing was much brighter but my scenery on the layout didn’t look that much better. Also I was alarmed at how my hair turned grey during/following surgery but the nurse assure me the grey hair was already there!
