Semi Grain hauler

Hi guys

I am modeling a grain elevator that has a shed for unloading semi-trailers of grain. I search for semi grain-haulers and had no luck finding them in HO scale. I am thinking about converting either a semi-trailer or Rail car into a semi grain-hauler.

My Question is has any one done this or does anyone know where I can buy a model of a HO grain hauler. If you have kit-bashed one, would you share your technique? Pictures would help.

Hi Jim,

Lonestar Models 2808 Cibola Dr. Irving,TX 75062,They make exactly what You are looking for. A little pricy , but the detail is excellant. Built up or kit form in differant colors, modeled after the Wilson grain trailers. I have four of them and like I said the detail and scale is excellant not to hard to build.

Exactly what I’m looking for. I ordered 2 trailers. They will look fantrastic on my layout.

We have similar set up on our layout. We use Lonestar models for the grain trailers.

I think there are more than a few 10-11 year olds who might find the Lonestar Models age limit (12) a bit condescending.
