So, I’ve been sitting here surfing the WWW in the Train Room this morning. Liam comes in, turns the power pack on. The Athearn RTR P42 & consist of several Walthers & Athearn passenger cars he placed on the tracks yesterday glides across the tracks. The loco is quiet ( believe it or not ) & at one section of track, all of the wheels “clickity-clack” across a joint in the track.
The layout is at 48". The computer is sitting below the tracks, I can’t watch the train as it’s above my head & the mainline is set back from the edge. So I’m sitting here listening to it. Talk about a nice calming noise! [
While I never been one for loop running I enjoy sitting back and “gawking” at my last ISL…Now I recall when I had a sound equipt GP9 and how I relax by listening to it idel by the yard off complete with open cab door.I could only assume the crew was having coffee while looking over their switch list and planing their moves.[:P]
