Shelf layout progress Jan. 1, 2023

Hi all,

I haven’t posted on here for a while. Here is where the layout is at as of January 1st, 2023. I’d like to say it’s basically “done” as much as a layout, even a 20-square foot shelf layout, can be done. I’ve been working on this layout since August of 2021, or about 17-months later, here is where I am at.

I recently added this little farm scene. The background for the layout is a print by Larc Products. The barn is by LaserKit, the figures are Preiser, the scenery is Scenic Express, Woodland Scenics, and Martin Welberg. The fence is by GC-Laser. The truck and tractor are Busch and Wiking.

The back of the barn.

Next, I added a milk can stand, also LaserKit. I couldn’t resist having a cow relax nearby.

Than I added scenery outside the fence of the milk car stand.

The end of the layout has scenery. I did a small gravel road running aside the tracks. I’ll add more later on.

This section here is all that is left to work on. I have two different small building kits on order, a Sheepscot pump house, and a Builders in Scale Getz Gas kit, and of course plenty of scenery material to fill it in. I’m thinking I do not want to do a complex or busy scene, but of course something far more interesting than just a plot of dirt! That area between the track to Wrisley Papers and the team track I’ll do some work on to

The layout looks polished and nicely finished – great progress in a short time – and it has scenes that photograph very well. Fine fine job

Well done, Alvie, and that backdrop really ties the scenery together very nicely.

20 square feet of modeling and viewing pleasure with untold miles of model railroading fun.

Thanks and regards, Peter

Nice photography, too!
