signal over a turnout

i have a quick question.

on the layout, i have a curved turnout that make the main line go from single to double track. the main at that point leave the yard to go toward other points ( i.e: staging). now if this was a prototypical situation, how would the signalling go? im using dwarf in the yard to protect the main line. era is 1955-60 ATSF 2nd distrcit ( southern california)

There would be a tall mast signal on each of the three routes into the switch, facing outward away from the switch. The one on the single main track would have two heads to display a diverging indication.
