Anyone have any dealings with this on line hobby shop in Taunton MA?
Looking for some references before I place an order.

I purchased a power pack from them last month. I bought it thru Ebay, seller called “VZTech” which turned out to be Silver City. The transaction was smooth, delivered promptly, no issues. I would buy from them again.

Rich,When I want to try a new on line shop I place a small order and 99.9% of the time the order will arrive within a week by USPS.
I have found this is the best method.
I will mention I have a list of on line shops and e-Bay stores that has the best prices and quick shipping.These shops gets the bulk of my on line purchases.
But what if I want to purchase a big item, as I do in this case?

Rich,In that case hope to get solid answers for your inquiry.
I’m also gun shy to when it comes to a first time order from a shop I never dealt with but,every on line order I made to date there had to be a first time risk made and so far I’ve not been burnt.
As a side note…When it comes to first time orders I use Pay Pal and won’t give out my credit card information.In short no Pay Pal no deal.
I purchased a couple of Broadway B&M E7 units from them no problems they came quickly and well packed.

Larry, you make a good point. The store does accept PayPal, and that is definitely the way to go as an added measure of protection.
Still hoping to hear from others who have dealt with Silver City Hobby.

A quick update on Silver City Hobby.
I placed an order for a locomotive and paid for it with PayPal.
The locomotive arrived at my door in less than 48 hours.
Silver City Hobby gets a thumbs up. [Y]
