I just purchased Caboose Industries groundthows for my yard.
Any special wire to use for connecting? I was thinking of using paper clips.

Which ones did you get? What brand of turnouts do you have? There should be a part of the throw, like a pin or hook, that attaches to the throw bar.
JBCA, did you buy the rigid (101) or the sprung (202 assuming HO)? If you have the sprung they can usually mount directly to the switch throw on most switches using the little nub under the groundthrow. If you have the rigid, and sometimes I like to put the mechanism below the table when it is more convenient even with the sprung, then use Piano wire. It is available at almost all LHS. They can guide you as to the diameter that would work best for you. I use the piano wire bent into a spring (basically a V) that connects the throw bar on the switch to the groundthrow. It can be easily adjusted to work smoothly and has the advantage of keeping constant pressure on the point rails.
Sorry, lack of sufficient information. Scale is HO. The throws are the 202’s and the switches are Atlas Snap with the slide mechanism removed.
Here is an artical about installing them. http://cid.railfan.net/ground2.html
Thanks everyone![:)]
Funny you should ask. I used paper clips for throw rods on my 202’s controlling CustomLine turnouts, they work just fine.
