Size of text on this forum

Why is the text on this forum so small?
Most other sites are a litte bigger.
I do not need glasses to read them ?
Yes my view is set to largest!

I’m I alone on this ?

Yes, you are alone.
My view follows the font settings on my browser.

What browser you using?

Curmudgeon, you are a hoot!
[:D][:D]

Gill, what browser are you using? I haven’t noticed that things seem small here, but I have a Mac at work, which I know is in the minority in the computer world.

A hoot?
Hey, that’s better than what my wife calls me.
Plus, it’s printable!

I might have to use it!

Changing the text size on my IE browser doesn’t change the text size on this forum. It DOES change the text size on the MyLargeScale forum.

Hmm…you’re right - for some reason the text size here doesn’t change.

I think they have decided to standardize on one font size and one forum as well…makes life easier…for someone, I guess…

Plus it’s the right number of letters…

This is interesting, as I have noticed this, because when I use my computer the font on both forums is the same, but on my wifes computer, this forum is the same as mine and MLS is twice as large, dont know why I dont mess with her settings… FYI both computers are on windows XP and use iternet explorer

Ahhhh, the mysteries of life!

Mcgill, open it up and throw some rice in there, that little asian with the quill pen is hungary and weak!

Are the Computer gods mad at you?

Mine’s running in Ariel 12pt., but I have no idea why!

The mysteries of life, indeed.

How about using a decent browser instead of the “burp” out of Redmond?

I’ve been using OPERA for many years and Lordy, Lordy it lets you look at a page anywhere from 20% to 1000%. If you ask me somewhere in there is the size for everybody!
OK, I just remembered; nobody asked me. [}:)][}:)][:)][:p][:D][:D]

The OPERA home page is at http://www.opera.com/ ; the browser is free of charge, comes with a really nice mail app and a bunch of other things. However there is one drawback, it is considerably faster than IE and I’ve heard it said that IE users have a hel*l of a time getting used to all the speed. [}:)][}:)][^][^][:D][:D]

For the visually challenged: if you set OPERA to 180% the text will be large enough to trip over - As a matter of fact it is so blooming large I can hardly stand it!! - and you still don’t have to do the horizontal scroll once you center the text portion of the forum. Hope that helps!!!

you mean how do you get the font size bigger?

O.K. [banghead]
Please have mercy [bow]
My large scale is ok [8D]
Large scale central is o.k. [8D]
I come here and is way smaller? [%-)]
If my co. is using a server shuoldn’t all the forums look the same ( text size ) [%-)]

That’s funny! I read the other fora and I don’t have the problem. Errrrrr I mean, I never noticed having that problem!!![;)][:)][;)]

Well, looks like we’ve found at least one thing in “outdoor scale” that’s standard- the font size of the forum![:D]

As usual a lot is being said about not much.

Ian

HJ,

Mozilla will go up to 2000%. The big question is why do you want to go that far? At about 300%, the font’s so big I can’t read an entire short word on screen. It would have been Opera if Mozilla hadn’t come along before Opera was free. I do like it, but I’m too used to Mozilla to change.

Mozilla users, you can press [CTRL] + [+] to increase the font size and [CTRL] + [-] to decrease the font size. (The square brackets represent keys, the plus sign means press these two together.)

Hey Ian,

We still left room for you to pipe up, didn’t we???[;)][}:)][:p][;)][;)]

I wonder if he used the same scale to calculate “not much” as the one he used to erroneously calculate a metric conversion of a grade to obtain improper percentage of grades…

Never ceases to amaze me how badly the sun can addle thinking processes on the coast…

This is funny,

Here the font is fine…

MLS the font is fine

LCS the font is soooooo small I thought membership should come with those magnifying eyeglasses you can buy at Sav-on!

Guess its all just capricious to what gremlins are in your computer [:D]

Dave,

When I spent a few days in Darwin (NT), I found out the locals have a special name for the condition.

Of course the other question would be: Scale??? What scale?? This isn’t a weighty matter, is it? [}:)][}:)][:D][:D][:D]
