I just watch this DVD I got in the mail. and WOW. I think that those video’s are not for the beginner. and they are way too big for beginners.
Any way. A friend on mine from Bachmann forums. Setup a new layout for me due to the fact that the old track layout was or would give me too many problems. He setup a track layout in Any Rail. and I just have not fount a video I could use to learn how to use that software.
Any way I’m looking for designs for layouts for a model RR for a 4’x11’. I was looking for some thing to help me with this new track layout. Building hills and mountains will be harder sense I’m using a layout that’s completely flat. I had to rip the old layout up so I could lay the new track. Today I will be getting the 2 remaining pcs I need to complete my track and I will be able to test the trains.
There has to be some designs that don’t or won’t cost an arm and leg like the ones in the video I have.
You will receive the remaining pieces of track today to complete your trackwork. So you will probably not need any help to design your trackplan.
Are you asking for help where you could build hills, brooks, roads or buildings? If so you could start by posting your trackplan on here.
Starting with a flat table ( a sheet of foam?) is not bad. However you have to think in advance how to deal with lower lying objects like rivers.
Most scenery work can be done in a lot of ways. Basic scenery stuff is not very expensive. The moment you start buying huge quantities of quality trees or expensive kits for houses and industries you’d better watch your wallet.
The Virginian thread might be a great one to look at.
BTW it could well be a 4 ft wide table causes access issues. Any table wider then 30" could benefit from access from the back.
Hi! Paul and thanks. I’m sorry this forum doesn’t have an option for me to upload attachments. I wanted to do this on the 1st post. Let me see if I can upload it some where else and post the link for it.
The above link has my Any Rail design that Jeff from Bachmann trains made for me. It you wanted some photos. Let me know and I can send you photo’s of what I all ready have.
And yes. That’s what I’m wanting to do. My ideas just didn’t pan out. I need help placing roads and buildings and so on. Any help would be great.
I got the same thing about joining Media Fire. Then when I backed out of the link to get back here, there was another link asking to join some other file-downloading-protecting-whatever- program. Looks like you have to join Media Fire to see his plan.
Sorry, Guys I don’t know what it’s doing that. It doesn’t do that when I upload my photo’s. So let me try a zip file. I zipped up that file. So see if you can access this file.
Sorry bigjoe, I got the same page I got before, asking me to join, and to download some other file sharing website.
Is Media Fire a picture hosting site? like Photobucket? I use Photobucket and belong to other forums besides this one, and I have no problems posting pictures.
Yes it is, Just not images or photo’s. I should be able to share any thing I want. So I don’t know how to get this file to you. and Photobucket only supports photo’s.
Any way I have that Any Rail File I wanted to post. So I don’t know how to get it too you.
Or by high-lighting one or more words and then left-clicking on the chain-symbol (hardly visible normally on the menu above) you’re able to insert a link.
The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire.
Sorry I haven’t been able to get back with any one. I just been having some problems with the new upper track. For some reason the train hits this one spot on the track and it stops or derails. and I haven’t been able to find out why it doing this.
Thanks for for the images. Sorry. My layout doesn’t even match this or even come close to this layout. Can I ask the reason for displaying your layout.
Sorry, Kevin. I guess I don’t under stand what your saying. Right now I’m just been testing the upper part of my layout. I been having some problems with the train coming to a stop or it derails.
