So...When IS NCE's new PowerCab coming out?!?

FYI: For any of you interested in and/or waitng for the release of the NCE’s new entry-level DCC system, PowerCab, I inquired of NCE today and got a response back from their Customer Support department stating “We’re hoping to have these ready the first of December.” Related links:

Has more power than I originally understood. (1.7 amp vs. 1 amp)

Hi, I called NCE today and they are still saying a few more weeks from today (11/21/05). They told me they had some major bugs to get fixed.[:(]] Too bad, I was hoping to get one by Christmas. I gave up on MCR. I was getting ready to buy the Prodigay Advance. They have the rudist service/customer support I have ever dealt with. My local train shop told me they were extremely unhelpful with them as well and they are distributors for MCR!

Thanks for the response. Actually, I e-mailed NCE last week and they told me that they were “hoping” by the 2nd week of December. (But, that was last week.) I also heard from an online dealer who thought it probably wouldn’t be till Christmas. I guess we’ll see…

Talked to Tony at “Tonys Trains” and he said they were shipping this week.[:D]

Sorry I have been waiting patiently for to long. I still have that no DDC ready loco problem and the budget problem though.

I posted an update a couple of days ago but it quickly fell through the cracks on page 1. (Must have been a busy night on the forum.) Anyway, NCE had the following news on their web site:

I’ve had mine reserved since early December. I don’t mind waiting the extra time though for them to work out the bugs.
