Software to print our own large backdrop scenes???

Some one mentioned such software a while back. Does anyone know what it is and how well it works. I am ready to put one of my pictures behind my trestle.

Art,
This is a good idea but most of us can only print 8 1/2 " x 11 " size. This would not cover most backdrops. If you could put your backdrop pictures on a CD or DVD and find a print shop with large size capability this might work. The company BACKDROP WAREHOUSE sells large size printed backdrops but they are a little pricy. I figured about $200.00 for a 12 foot long wall ? Another thought would be to paint or wallpaper
sky and cloulds and then cut out your pictures of buildings, trees, farms or whatever and glue them over the bottom of the backdrop which should look OK ?

Someone mentioned a program that breaks the photo into 8 1/3 x 11 images and then you paste them together. The concept sounds good. Has anyone really tried it?

When I did my haunted house I did this with my HP printer. It was an image of a skelton in a suit and I made it 18 x 24
it was 6 sheets total and I had to trim and get it all to line up. It also sucked down the ink not really worth it in my opinion.

It was me! I got “the big picture” software from e-bay for under $10.00

do a search and usually several pop up.

I needed a four foot scene as a backdrop for one of my modules under construction, and wanted it to be a local scene. I took several digital photos of the area with the camera on a tripod (a point and shoot 3.3MP model) while panning the area. I used photo stitching software (Photovista - there are many others out there) to make about five of the shots into one panorama.

I put the image on a CD and took it to a local shop that makes great enlargements, restores old photos, etc. and they made the four foor print for me. It was only about 8-10" high as that was all I wanted. They mounted it on foamboard for me too. Cost me about $45.00 and I was happy with it. Now all I have to do is complete the module!

I imagine there are similar shops in most larger cities who could do the same.
