hi group. was wonderuing if any Soo modeler has ever attempted modeling that “walkway” gizmo atop the front of hood of #320. also has anyone ever found a photo of the Engineers side of this loco? curious. thanks, michael.
Nope, I have not added it to my Walthers SW-1.
Here you go.
thanks much Jim. i knew some Soo guy would come thru. that gizmo on top looks more complicated from this side, best to forget trying that modeling task. michael.

thanks guys for the photos. after #320 was bought by Great Lakes Dock & Terminal, i read it was bought by a private party and painted original black. where is it located now? and can it be viewed? thanks for any info. regards, michael. SW1 freak.
Per the 320, my understanding is it was restored in 2009 and is owned by Independant Locomotive Services of Minnesota. It is sometimes used by the Minnesota Northern railroad. This unit was built in 39 and is one of the oldest operating diesel engines in the country.
Another SW1 is owned by the Mineral Range railroad in the upper peninsula of Michigan.
