Hi all, I may be missing something here, but I recently installed a LC diesel decoder in an Atlas GP7. All went well until I tried to speedmatch it to my other engines, and I realized that CV5 and CV6 aren’t used by Soundtraxx…so how do I set the top speed and midrange speed?? Is there another CV that they call something else that does the same things, or ?? I’ve checked the online manual and the Soundtraxx website, but so far nothing.
Any ideas?? [%-)]
C’mon, somebody must have installed a Soundtraxx decoder and had the same problem - it’s got the starting speed, acceleration and deceleration CV’s, but no mid or top speed ones…at least not that I could find??
The Soundtraxx LC series uses Vstart with forward and reverse trim. It does not have a 3 point simple table like Digitrax and others.
If you really wanted to speed match this loco, you would have to program the 28 step speed table. It is time consuming without a computer interface, but with a computer interface, it takes about 3 seconds.
