Several years ago I saw some South Shore (Chicago, South Shore and South Bend - C.S.S.& S.B.) coaches. Do not remember the scale or manufacturer, but presume it was O scale or larger. Would like any information on these including where I might find some to purchase.
I saw the same coaches & have a relative who works on that RR & wanted to tell him about the coaches so if you find out, please let me know. I think they were scale O gauge, perhaps MTH Premier but Im not sure. Thanks, Jim e-mail: Thesegals@aol.com
I believe Gregg is right. I do believe I remember seeing K-Line South Shore interurbans in the last couple years. You should be able to find some local dealers through K-Lines website that can help you locate one.

I’ve found a few South Shore items in HO scale:
a Walthers circa 1940’s passenger car kit at www.jaystrains.com, and several brass passenger cars from www.hillshobby.com (not cheap!) I too would appreciate more info on modeling the Chicago South Shore.
K-Line, www.K-Linetrains.com makes an O tinplate “interurban” set consisting of a power car and trailer. Their website currently shows it available in PRR and Pacific Electric, but I do recall seeing it also in Lackawanna and I have no doubt they hasve at one time or another made it in South Shore, probably for their “collector’s Club”.
