Speaker For Vintage Atlas RS3

I am in the process of converting a very old Atlas RS3 (probably a yellow box version) to DCC, utilizing a Decoder Buddy mini and a Soundtraxx 21 pin Econami decoder. The engine utilizes the old plastic light tubes. I have removed them, cut off the lenses and glue 1206 SMD’s to them. Everything fits and is operable so far. Now my question - does anyone have a recommendation for a speaker. I removed the weight that presses into the long hood but, because of the short height of a RS3, there’s not much room in the long hood for a speaker. Have any of you done such a conversion? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards, Chris

There are speakers that mount in the cab roof area and if you don’t care about scale visibility through the little ‘stack observation windows’ at the top of the cab over the hood, I don’t think there’s any other drawback.
