Sprinfield MA-2008

THE huge show is next weekend…they have added a 4th bldg!..don’t know how I’m gonna see everything in one day!..you going?..Tom

To avoid cultural differences about what “next weekend” means, the show is the 26th and 27th of January.

But yeah, it’s a great show. I may be going skiing in Maine, but if I don’t and the weather isn’t really foul, I may drive down there.

It’s a great place to buy detail parts - windows and doors, gas station accessories, seagulls, etc. (Seagulls? Yes, I got some of those last time I was there.) Usually, I hate to order stuff like that because the shipping is going to double the price of small stuff, but at the show you can pick them up as you walk along.

I was really thinking about it but not this year. Information overlead for my 5 year old, and there is NO WAY the wife would let me go alone!

The Greenberg show is in Wilmington, MA on March 15-16. That’s probably a shorter drive for you, and it’s one that every little kid will love. Why, some of those little kids are 60 years old…[:-^]

I’ll have to check my schedule at home but the Pepperell Siding Model Railroad Club show is around that time too.

I’ll be going for sure, but haven’t decided which day. I live an hour north of Albany, so it’ll be a 2 hour drive for me, I sure hope the wind won’t be blowing - it’s a real pain walking from that field or what they call the parking area. A couple of times I’ve felt like I was going to be blown back to NY as an icecube. I usually brown bag it and bring my own fluid refreshment, you can easily waste an hour standing in line for food and I’d rather spend my money on trains anyway.
