Good morning. I am driving to Sprigfield this week and would like to visit the spot where the old Rideley tower used to stand…can anybody tell me the exact location of that spot so I can use my GPS to get there? Also, if anybody can recommend any other good spots in Springfield I’d appreciate it as well. Thanks!
It was just east of Peoria St. on Sangamon Ave. on the north side of town. Take the Sangamon Ave. exit off I-55. Head west.

The Amtrak station downtown is interesting.
Also, if you haven’t been there, the Lincoln library (not far from the station) is fantastic. Absolutely a must see.
