Whos all going to the St Thomas Railway and Iron horse show? I think this might be there last. There will a good bunch of local dealers and engine No 9 will be back too!! Im gonna go and support the musuem they need it in this most desperate time.
Looks like I am going to miss this one. I have a Lawn Bowling tournament in Brantford starting on Saturday. Of course if we get knocked out on the first day, then I wiilhave a chance to go to St. Thomas for the show. Always have enjoyed this show.
I hope there is a good crowd there, the museum needs it. A know there is gonna be a good bunch of vendors and local dealers. I think one is doing sound demonstrations. I think.
let show the kind people what we have to offer, not everybody know’s we have a live steam engine too pull people around with and some good history here.
I would do some volunteering at the musuem the problem is i barely have the time. The only time I could have helped would have been during the thomas the tank stuff. About 8 months of the year im doing 60 to 70 hrs a week work. The other months are holidays and down time!!
I was somewhat disappointed. If it hadn’t been for No. 9 (Essex Terminal Railway 0-6-0) being there and an extremely short ride and my talk with George on the No.5700 (CN Hudson) I would have considered it a huge waste of time. I have been to the show in the past and it was very good. In fact one of the best in our area. It’s too bad that part of the museum is closed off to the public. I always enjoyed walking around and looking at all the artifacts. I did manage to get some nice pics of No. 9 and No. 5700. Was the Train Station open? We didn’t walk over there cause it looked like it was all closed up.
