The Electronic Goldmine 12V negative ion generator makes building your own static grass applicator very easy. Unfortunately they seem to be very popular and sell out quickly when they do get them in stock.
If you’re more of an electronic whiz, you can build your own negative ion generator with this circuit.
Another alternative that I caution you to only do if you really know what you’re doing is to use the 110V AC negative ion generator from Electronic Goldmine, which is in stock. Here’s some details on how you can use the high voltage negative ion generator safely. If you can’t make sense out of the diagram at this last link, then don’t even try. We don’t want any modelers accidentally electrocuting themselves trying to apply static grass!
Thanks Jay and Joe,
Your links and diagrams are exactly the info I’ve been looking for to make my own static grass applicator. Much appreciated.

I e-mailed scenic express and they told me that they do not sell any bulk packs of grass.
To bad.
Magnus
Maybe they only sell in bulk to businesses, or maybe they just packed the stuff differently because our boss ordered so much, I didn’t do the orderding at Dunham Studios. Try WS.
Thanks for the “how to” link! Im gonna for sure give this a try!
Thanks!
