April 18th is tomorrow. Rather short notice.
Usually fertilizer shipments start in March and delivered by the end of April. One nice thing when all else fails it goes by truck. Just expensive. Of course when the rails screw up fertilizer shipments by the time the railroads try to fix the shipments are already delivered. From my past experience of hauling ag chemicals in early spring.
Why is the Amtrak ‘Northeast Corridor’ exempt from this short-fuse reporting? Is it because “Uncle Joe” now flies in Air Force #2, two-, or 4-times a week to/from Delaware?
I’d hate to see a crash involving a fertilizer train and a crude oil train.
Mr. Armstrong - the Oklahoma City truck bomb was made ofa mixture of ammonium nitrate (nitrogen fertilizer) and diesel fuel. A nasty mixture indeed!
