Steel truss highway bridges

Guys,

Does anyone know of a small steel truss road bridge? I have been looking thru the internet, but only finding railroad bridge kits. I need one over a small creek that is about 8"-9" long. Modeling in HO and in the 40’s to 50’s era. Just needs to be a 2 lane bridge.

Thanks in advance.

How about using a large N-scale truss bridge, and adding a road deck instead of rails. I’ve seen many a layout pictured using this method for road bridges…

You could use the basic Atlas truss bridge, its 9" long and as the previous post said, use some styrene to build a deck for the road.

How about doing a worldwide “bridge” search on E bay. You may come up with something a little less usual from Europe. You could also try a search under “Knightwing”.

I’ve seen tha n scale bridge thing done recently and it looked very good. On the way home from visiting the guys layout I stopped at the LHS and picked up a couple of n-scale bridges just for that purpose. But be advised do not make the same mistake I did…lol make sure you get double track bridges so you can have traffic run both ways…ooops
