Still building trees (layout pics)

Not mugh going on here today, to hot (111 F) so I thought I would post some pics and maybe get some spirit back into the forum. I started building trees a couple of months ago and still not done I have about 400 trees on the HO layout so far, What do you think?

This a view of the first tunnel & mountain I ever built

View of the new part. the two sides are about 9’ X 5’ with a section about 3’ wide and 11’ long connecting them together. That is where my small yard is. What do you think? Comments are welcome. Mike

Great job on the backdrop, thanx for sharing!

If I may suggest: Mix different shades of green (dark, medium, lite) among your trees, so the forests won’t look too ‘uniform’ - that will go a long way toward a more realistic appearance.

Is that a plane on the backdrop? If so it looks good, along with the rest of your Empire.

I love building trees and yours are on the right track. Next step is to vary the colors, as all ready mentioned, and add some different species. You got balsams down, now some pine and some oak. Yhat is a nice forrest you have.
