I have telephoned all over Winnipeg looking for liquid nails. Cdn Tire, Rona, nor Home Depot had never even heard of it. What else spreads easily and will glue cork to foam and flex track to cork? The latex caulk spreads too thick for my taste. (I know, I’m not supposed to eat it!) lol
Thank you all,
BB
Just wondering and hopefully someone else will chime in on this but what happens if you stick the caulk in a tub of warm/hot water will it spread thinner? I would also recommend the smallest hole in the tip possible.
Bruce;
PL300 is a direct competitor to Liquid Nails for foam/projects.
I like Aileene’s Tacky Glue from Wal-Mart in the craft section. Others like latex caulk, silicone caulk, yellow glue, white glue, carpet tape…

I’ll second that. That stuff will glue almost anything. Right now I’m using it to glue extra weight into my passenger cars
This is good. You need to cut the absolute smallest opening in the caulk tube. Just a thin line is all you need, then spread with a putty knife. Press the track down on it - done. Maybe some push pins on the curves to keep things in line. You can run a hundred feet of track a night doing this. Plus you can pull it up if you goof or change your mind - good luck doing that iwth liquid nails or pl300.

second to Randy. Latex caulk, cheapest. Works great and does allow the changing of the mind.
