Sunday Photo Fun 11-20-05

ROy,

All of the portals and elevated track supports that I make have some sort of “personal meaning” graffiti on them. This one is really out there though.

1/49 = when I was born.
6/02 = when my son got married
12/03 = when my daughter got married
4/06 = BOTH my son’s wife and my daughter are expecting that month (same day actually!).

I have lots of personal stuff like that on a lot of things. This one’s kind of cheesy because I just wasn’t in the mood to put time into it to fancy it up. But something, to me, is better than just having a plaing portal.

Interesting that you noticed something some like!

Scot, I am gonna remove it right now! Did not know about those thefts.

Thanks Colin

Chief-NS mainline is only a few miles east of my place. I even got to ride in a NS GP-38 at work a few years ago when they were switching cars out.

JEALOUS!!!

I got to run the NS 233 pig train to Portsmouth Ohio today. And got paid to do it [:D].Oh at 60 mph.[;)].I just had to tell ya Chief.

DOUBLE JEALOUS

Walt,

Thanks. That is what I suspected, but I thought it was neat how you did that for your family!

Roy

Spankybird; I really like your layout but one thing sticks out to me and is a distraction, the transformer on the top of the layout and switch controls. Would it be possible to mount these under the layout on a lower table or the switches on a piece of plywod?
I used to live in Reading PA, that’s why phillyreading.
Lee in south Florida aka phillyreading

Philyreading – that is a good point and maybe my next project. Here is the complete control table. Before I added DCS, the height of the ZW was and is great for conventional control of my trains. As you see, I also have a KW below it. In the bottom cabinet is the DCS TIU and circuit breaker box along with extra smoke fluid, etc.

It is convenient for me to operate the trains, but does get in the way of taking pics. [;)]

Looking good evryone! Keep it up!
Chris
