I can’t believe I’m doing this. Im actually at a computer fair selling stuff from a booth, but it is kinda slow. So not doing anything, got a Wi-Fi connection and thought would post some pictures of Chris’s J Series Engine, I got at York. Actually after these pics were taken is when it got rear-ended by one of the guys in the club. Fortunately no damage. (we were parked on a siding).
The last picture was just before the crash. (Keith called me this am and said he would not ship my 1688 to me unless I promised NOT to take it to the club.)

These pix were made last year in Bryson City, NC. Had a great train ride from Bryson City to Nantahala Outdoor Rafting Ctr., traveling across Fontana Lake and along the Nantahala River - watching kayakers and rafters navigating Class 4 rapids.

Today I painted the ship for the harbour, and the backgrond in the eagle canyon/wetlands area. I don’t have a picture of the ship yet, but the canyon I have…
Daan - Sorry, I have no idea since I’ve only been in the hobby for a year or so. But you are correct about the running water. There are several water features on that layout, most are artificial but one the the corner is a real waterfall that starts at about 8 ft high and ends as shown in the picture below. Good memory. Your layout pictures are great! Most impressive!
