An oddity for the Ohio Central

Great job guys. Buckeye, I recognize two of your photos. The OC is doign a great job. Article in Trains about them.

With the new board improvements I do not see the image icon or smiley icons. I think other Mac owners have had the same problem and I’d like to know how to fix it. I did email Bob K. but haven’t received a reply yet. Thanks for your help. Jon I’m running Tiger 10.7 and using Safari, I also have IE and have tried it there with no success.

Jon, I don’t think there are any image icons on the forum. I just copy and paste from Shutterfly.

They are in the " message " toolbar. It says " insert smiley". BUT all text and no pictures. You have to read to find what you want.

Here are two of my E-BAY finds…

Filling in more backdrop space with industries.

A while back, I hacked two Ameritowne buildings in half for the northeast corner:

Put the extra panels to work on a skinney area between the wall and track in the southeast corner:

I brought the garage door up to loading dock height with some quarter inch masonite. Still need to build a narrow dock and detail the building.

Also ripped up a another Walthers front - City Litho. This is made for a street rather than track side, I think, as the door on the left goes ground up, while the center door looks like it is for truck unloading. I’m going to cover the lower portion of the door on the left and build a narrow dock the full length to make it trackside suitable.

Pickedt these up at Michaels (they do look a bit better if you click on them to make them bigger):

BUT THEN I THOUGHT THEY"D LOOK BETTER PAINTED UP. BTW: I fixed that splotch on the blue ‘T’.

Cool pics guys!

Does anyone have one of these , besides me ??

Chuck

jonadel - I had to download Firefox and use that.

Mitch

Mitch, I just downloaded Firefox to use on my new box and it works great. Don’t know why I didn’t try that before as I have been using it on my Linux box for a while.

Nice bunch of photos this week.

Frank, You sure know how to make the most of a shelf layout. Nice. [tup]

Chuck, I have never seen one of those, or like so many things I have and forget it. [:I]

Well here is the update on the stockyard project. It is now in place but needs a little scenic material and of course cattle.

The colors are truer on the above picture.

But this one looks a little better.Another view.

Here are some of the cattle I am repainting with one of the original Life-Like and two repainted.

Another view.

I’m having enough trouble painting cattle, not even going to attempt people.

I tried the copy and paste again, this time from dotphoto.com but had the same result, they showed up in the preview, but not in the post. Went back to the image tags.

All nice pictures, everyone !!

Chuck : you mean me ? !! Yes, I just got mine from CTT the other day ! Boy, is it ever nice !! They said they wouldn’t be sending any to NC, whatever that means !!

Thanks, John

John (jefelectric)…That stockyard looks really nice. Good job.

John ( csxt30)…You got one too, from CTT. Great.

Chuck

Yes, & I’ll bet yours says Coffee Pot Edition on it like mine !! Yes, they sure look nice on our layouts, don’t they ? !!

Thanks, John

Great photos all. I have been so busy recently I have not had time to take any new photos or videos.

John (jefelectric), I agree, that stockyard you built does look really nice!

Only one photo then the batteries went dead in the camera[:(!]
