Super O Switches.

Hey yall!

I noticed on this website that Super O switches were often ‘problomatic’. Does anybody know any problems of them?

CTT had a issue dedicated to Super-O. The main problem I remember reading was that the switch would not throw all the way and they had a tedency to overheat and melt. If I look I think I might have the issue if I find it I’ll let you know what month it was.

I have had my Super O switches set up since 1958 and have no complates about them at all.The only problem that came up was when I began to purchase the Williams scale size engines. The large Trainmaster comes to mind. When ever this engine took the turnout, the front end would go one way, than the trailing end would go straight. The solution was to set back the voltage from the fixed voltage side of the transformer,by using resistors. This cut the voltage down to the turnout and,no problems since than. Hopper.

Thanks guys! Joseph, ever find that issue?
