Swap Meet Treasures /Track Cleaning

Hi Guys. I like going to train show swap meets. I look for inexpensive treasures. I always thought that engine & dummy units looked neat. At one of the swap meets I picked up a GP 9 engine for $25.00. Well, I figured out that it was made in Mexico and would not follow on my 027 track cuppled behind the GP 7 that I had from the 60"s. The next meet I bought a set of truck wheel parts and made a dummy for the GP 9. It works great and I repainted it. Whatt to do with the motor truck? It would run on the track without the body & frame attached so I began looking on line at antique inspection cars and I made a car from a model A Ford kit and wood. I found that it would pull my track washer with a small car attached. It works well for cleaning the track-- and with the red flashing LED light on top it is fun to watch. Some pictures attached.

very nice! that’s the best part of shows for me.I love going thru the “treasure boxes” under the tables. Gives me plenty of rebuilding projects.

Nice work model a.I too enjoy looking through the treasure boxes at the shows.Always the the chance of finding a goodie.
