My friend and I are contemplating of joining TCA. During the last York meet( I believe it was on this site) members were signing up non-members in a local restaurant. Will that be occuring again?

Pretty much a semi-annual event at each York. I would say that they will be signing up new members again for Fall York.
Read about it, also, if you come as someone’s guest to the TCA York Meet you can join at that time.
Join now by printing a application form off of the TCA website. If you have a train store near you, you can probably get the 2 signatures from them (this is what I did).
You can also “join at the door” at the York meet. The get-together you refer to is the OGR guys at TGIF Friday’s on the Thursday night of the meet. You could also email me, and I and a friend will sign and mail the form back to you. My advice is join now and avoid the rush.

If you have a train store near you, you can probably get the 2 signatures from them (this is what I did). There’s the rub. Some of us don’t have any train stores anywhere near us, and live in semirural areas where people who share an interest in the hobby are rare.
