Check this out. I remember a while back when they were selling the Allegheny H8 that was on the front of the older catalogue, it went for a good price. But it stated that only 1 side of the engine was weathered for the photo shoot.
That bridge is very nice, but way too large for most of us to use. I just got my Walthers catalog this week and it is on there for sure. Maybe a club layout could use a bridge like that.
Cool! I get paid on Friday - but not that much [:(]
yeah, I got a kick out of the “ready for use in a home model layout.” Sorry, but that thing is longer than most of our layouts…But, it is a work of art. I have to admit, I would love to have that in the house, it would make a beautiful way to display a train. It is stunning, in many ways.
HOW MUCH???
The thing is second hand! Used!
If they don’t sell it it’s just so much scrap!
Got to give them an “A” for effort though.
Why would somebody buy that for 3500 bucks?
Maybe he can use the 35 g’s to get a better camera…
C’mon, if you’re going to sell such an item, at least borrow a decent camera…
Matt
All I know is it is a beautiful piece to add to a layout.
But seriously
A) who’s layout really is massive enough to fit this in without completely overshadowing the rest of the work on the layout and
B) what kind of a layout would you fit this into? Two towns built on mirroring mesas at elevation… the use of this bridge makes massive elevation changes necessary everywhere else.
