The Coffee Shop (a place to chat) Est. 2004

Fergie [:)]

As for me, I would have rather eaten with you tonight rather than tomorrow. Salmon just isn’t my thing. However, I can deal with the burgers, shrimp, and steaks. [:D]

Gosh, no report from John or Teffy. [:(] I was hoping to hear something by now. [:(]

I do know they were enjoying their trip. [:D]

Our weather is pretty nice now. Our high today was 76 and tonight it is to drop below 50 for the first time this fall. I am loving it too. [:)] Before long I might actually have to shut the windows.

I’d like to go into some railroad-related industry if I make a good deal of money doing it, something in the manufacturing industries/steel industry/transportation is probably going to be my employer some day.

And it’s getting colder here too, although maybe not permanently for the moment, tonite it’s supposed to frost, but then the rest of the week it’s supposed to either stay in the low 70s or the low 60s-hight 50s… What we really need here is a rain though, the grain dust is getting pretty bead without anything to dampen it down. OF course, being 200-300 miles south of you guys down here in Illinois, it’ll take us 3-4 weeks to get the weather you’re getting regularly. But Illinois lately has been having fairly mild winters, anyways.

Well I got to go to the LHS today, and I got a Atlas wide-vision caboose, (CB&Q of course!), and a pair of Zuron sprue nippers, something I’ve needed for a long time! The caboose is very nice, only I wish I could have gotten it as a kit, I need something to do for the enterity I’m going without a layout!

Good Morning all. And Good Afternnon to our old country friends. Dawn is just now breaking and the sky is beautiful. Venus is bright in the east and the moon is 3/4 full westward. NO RAIN! Just a mild breeze. Wish everyone has a good day.

Phil: glad your getting good weather, as it is cool here today o’cast and in the high 50’s

Teffy is inbound and should be here within the hour, that’s if he didn’t get lost with the directions I gave him!

Regards
Fergie

Fergie- he shouldn’t have any trouble. Land is easier to navigate than the ocean.
Phil.

The only way to go[:D]

Not if you’ve had a few to many and the infamous “FHP” is behind you. At least on the ocean you have weaving room. [:D][:D]

Ya gotta be Mentally Ill to stay in Fla. after this year, right.[:D][:D]

Man that sounds good, how about e-mailing some[:D]

Whats with posts lately, they don’t always show up right after you submit them.

emeraldisle- So why are u still here?
fla.phil

I want to be a Railroader , too !..Someday. It’s getting colder here in Oklahoma, too.

Good Evening All:

I bet you thought that I’d fallen off the end of the world. I left John’s last night and got lost going back to the motel and I couldn’t tell him where I was, it took three calls to get through because of the lack of towers for cell phones. He was able to tell me where I was and get me back on track.

This has been a very good experience and very informative.

Ed:
You wouldn’t believe how nice John’s layout is, and he is an electronic genius. The ideas are better to explain when we were looking at the PC boards and now I can’t wait to get home, build one and see if I can get it to work.

Well everybody’s (John and Fergie) down in the train room so I’m going to get down there and get some train running in.

Ya’ll have a blessed day and remember the SANTA FE
Bob

Teffy!! Glad to see your doing good in your travels. Was hopeing you’d stop in soon. Hope you have a good rest of the trip.

Not much around here today. Been drawing up someplans for my new paper building, which is going to be absolutely huge now that I see it on paper. I really can wait to see it get built. It’ll cost a good bit, which means alot fo other projects will be on hold till after christmas and the snow season. Also been painting downloaded caboose drawings from the internet in a fake WSOR paint scheme, kind of based on the scheme the WC had on a few of there cabooses, as well as a few weird designs. I think I’m going to paint a freelanced athearn Bay window caboose for the WSOR, like they might have once had them. Just for fun, and it’ll also be good practice for masking paint for doing the WSOR E-unit model someday. Well, that’s about it around here, I’ll se you all later,

Noah

hey everyone-
whats your favorite model railroad of all time?

Hi Teffy; Glade to hear you made it. Have fun there. Poor Fergie has been really working on that layout of his. You’ve missed all the blow by blows.

It’s getting colder her in Texas too. It sure feels good. We are also getting some needed rain. I was going to mow somemore this evening but got rained out. Darn, now I’ll have to go to the basement and work on the layout plans.

See Ya Paul

Teffy [:)]

Don’t get rid of all the busses, cause next year, WE ALL WANT TO GO. [:D]

I want to book the super economy fair cause I am too broke to pay attention. [;)]

Oh, and can I sleep on the bus? I can be the watchperson, and IF we bring Duchess she can be the watchdog. [;)] And we won’t have to worry about leftovers cause with her along, THERE WON’T BE ANY. [:p]

Oh man, is that a loaded question. [;)]

Too many to choose from AND if you choose one over the other watch out for the war.

Auuuu, I like them ALL. [;)]

Well Bob and John have come and gone and a good night was had by all. Pictures to follow.

And from what I’m told they all enjoyed the BBQ’d Salmon. Good food and good company!!Well Bob and John have come and gone and a good night was had by all. Pictures to follow.

And from what I’m told Bob, Stef and his mother all enjoyed the BBQ’d Salmon. Good food and good company!!

Unfortunately one Gremlin got out of the cage and kicked Bob’s Mountain off the table. I cried, Bob shrugged and the engine just rolled along.

If you ever see a Mountain with the right rear cab turned down, you can say “Hey, Wasn’t that the one that rolled off the rails on the MESS back in 04’ ?”

I’m greatful for Bob’s visit as I enjoyed it and look forward to other experiences like this in the future. Tom and Bill you are both in for a pleasant Surprise!

Jim: Thank you ever so much for the photos they are excellent and do you much credit. I still would like to see this is in real life as the sound would be inspiring!

Any way gents
Later
Fergie

Very nice report and an encouraging one too. [:D]

Thank you for the kind words about the photos, I hope you enjoy them for years to come. AND the sound as the 4 6 6 4 passes is deafening but had to stick it out to capture the whole steam show.

If my Spectrum Mountain ever took the plunge I think I would do more than cry. Actually the roof would probally come off the house. [:0] <Wonder if the insurance would pay for that [?] > [:)]

Now I have some pics that I just put in the bridge thread. They are not the best of pics nor are they the worst either. But they do show the lift section of the bridge for anyone looking to model it. Hopefully they might help someone. [:)]
