The Great Train Expo in Reading, Pa this weekend

Anyone going to be at the show this weekend? I am going to help my Garden Railway Club set up on Friday and then I will be back on Saturday to run our exhibit.

Sorry COLIN, last day of buck season for me.

Will you be at the Spring Thaw in Allentown in Feburary?

Yes, if we don’t get a big storm or something else comes up.

Laz- Bucks are overated .When you hunt them & Taxiderminize them, they spend the rest of their lives on your wall looking at you in your den from every angle. Go to the show & enjoy it.[;)][8D][:o)] You can’t even show them how to run a train as they are suffering from Rigor Mortis anyway. So, what good is a Buck?[:o)][:o)][:o)][;)] Take Care.

tmcc man,

Where is this show being held at? What building?

Last time there was a train show near Reading it was at Hamburg PA.

KEITH,

I got to go hunting just as a means of controlling my spending on trains. At least I can do a lot of walking in the woods.

In the old Agere building off route 12 (Warren Street Bypass)

Would like to go but time and money won’t let me. Maybe Hamburg meet in June or July.

<So, what good is a Buck>

Well, they’re a lot more tender than trying to eat a diecast tender.[:)]

Guess it’ll be the woods this weekend and Allentown in the spring.

AH nothing beats a tender behind.

I’ll be there with my modular club, Delaware Valley Hi-Railers. My module is the drive-in movie. Joe Hohmann

Joe, if you see a Large Scale floor layout being set up, that is where I will be. I will be the only teen there. If I don’t see you Friday, I will stop to say hi when I return on Saturday.

Where can I find out about train expo’s / shows or any event such as that in my area?

Skullie, go to this website www.greattrainexpo.com. You should click on show schedule to find out if there will be a show near you.

Thank you, from the looks of it, there is one the week of my birthday only about 30 minutes ride from my house! (I’m in CT). Looks like it would be a lot of fun to bring my daughter to. Looks very dangerous to my wallet too, lol

Since it takes us almost 7 hours on Friday to set up our layout, I’m sure I’ll have time to find you[:)]. Joe

Can’t wait to meet you , Joe. What do you plan on running at the show. Are you the guy that has a lot of the Reading, Lehigh Valley, and NS equipment?

I don’t bring anything to run. Most of my trains are semi-scale, and only 2 are TMCC. I mainly like doing scenics. I’m happy to have the other club members bring their trains…then I get to run them. My module will be the 1950’s drive-in movie, and I’m making a new module for the Feb. show. Joe

Colin, nice meeting you at the show. Your group’s huge “G” layout was great. It was also a nice surprise to see another group member, Ron White. Ron and I worked together at Scott Paper Co for many years. Joe
