I got up to the train room for the first time since I broke my leg. I did not do any thing special or any real work up there. I just went up there to say hello, and to take a few pictures. I have a train set on the bench, with a new motor but are waiting on new draw bars. Or more precisly, a new 2/56 tap to allow the use of new screws to install the draw bars with.
In the mean while I took some pictures of my Coney Island station. I was working on the railings and catwalks on the southern approach to the station (It would be the northern approach in New York, but what can I say). The approaches, along with the entire station are supposed to be elevated, and I am having some issue with the catwalks, I have pulled some up and will have to put new ones down, I’ll also have to paint the black work again. Or maybe I can lay a “backdrop” flat on the table as if looking down past the tracks to the street below. Except that there is no street below where these tracks come in. I 'll have to but the Coney Island Creek under a fax bridge.
Oh well, Here be the pictures that I took. Mostly they will show me what more work I have to do at this station, which is considerable, and that I’ll need to bring a better camera and tripod up if I want any really serious pictures.
Here, then is the LION’S Coney Island…
