I’m sure you all have little train keepsakes. Here are a few of mine.

I never knew Plastiville sold paint.
Sure do. One is the owner’s manual for my 2055 set I got from Santa in '53 and the whole set.
Hmmm, what little things I have around usually appear on the layout somewhere - Two Xmas ornaments - a streamlined Hudson and Blue Comet engine; a train-scene magnet from a museum; lots of knick-knacks from my dad scattered around Baker Field - two airplane kits he made, little plastic cars from the 30s powered by balloons,
Interesting thought. Mine would include:
A bunch of the Lionel catalogues of the 50’s - I used to study them for hours to decide what I would want if I could have it.
Then there are the metal railroad nameplates that came in some kind of cereal - anybody else have these?
And there then there are the many various bits of railroadiana from the 50’s: like those shown at the start of this thread.

My interest in toy trains, particulary American Flyer trains, goes back to my childhood. My family owned Flyer trains before I was born. My dad and older brother used to set the trains up every year at Christmas. I wasn’t given much opportunity to play with them so I started asking for some trains of my own. In 1959 I received a battery operated HO set for my very own. I liked it, but I wanted trains like dad and my brother had. That little train still works and it is one of my treasures. I have no idea who made it.
Sorry, that last picture is a bit fuzzy.
By the way runtime: I have a complete set of those tin train heralds. They came in Post Cereal boxes. I’ll see if I can get some pictures of them.

That could get you in BIG trouble. LOL [:-^]
Russ, one little thing I’ve got is a bottle of original SP smoke pellets you sold me for 5 bucks or something. Still got the 622 and 736 you sold me too. It’s been almost 30 years. Time flys, eh?
John, don’t remind me. I look in the mirror and wonder “who is that?” LOL I will be 65 this Feb. and I’m still vertical, knock on wood. Never to old to play with trains. Did you know Al Cox passed away?
Yes, I read about that. Heinlien too. I’m sure you remember him.
