An who can forget how the High Speed Rail Plan in the ARRA (“Stimulus” bill) was replaced by the much lower-cost High Speech Bus Plan, where cost-effective meal service was to be provided by allowing the lunch-wagon guy to board the bus to sell food?

Problem with electric semis is batteries and charging thereof. Fast charging requires a lot of power which effectivey means that the charging stations need to have some hefty energy storage system to meet peak demand.
