Painting my daughter’s room today as she ‘clears the decks’ in time to begin high school. She will not take my suggestion of a train border though. Have a good trip Chief! I got my sister’s wedding next month out east - wish it was as easy as a drive. For plane tickets, rent-car, lodgings, dog kennel, etc. I’m looking at the cost of a nice scale engine… Daisy has impressed Rudy the Wonder Dauschund - he wants an unchaperoned visit. Daan, I hope your housemates recover quickly. You seem like a good nurse to them. I want to take a quick break soon to run trains with my youngest.

Good Morning Everyone ! Nice dog, Tom ! Can’t wait to see the wardobe or hat you put on her down the road! Also, got my friend that was thinking of going to HO, to go to O-gauge instead. Used a lot of info I got off the forum here. He already has one train, anyway. Will help shore up our N.E. borders, too! Well, back to work on the layout. Good to see Scratch check in, too. All have a nice weekend!

Good Morning All from NE Ohio

where the temp is 72 and going to 88 with over cast skys. Yesterday evening we had a lot of T-Storms come thru the area which let the rain continue thru most of the night. Boy did we need it.

Daisy is adjusting just fine and Spanky said he would protect her from unwanted guest.

Chief – Did you re-paint the NCAA car yourself. Not bad, but would have been better if it was Ohio State.

Scratch – do you still need that 4 wheel drive [?]

Pick of the Day

All be safe

morning all
got up at 6 this morning, and will be back later tonight. I am at the PGA tour in Springfield NJ. I will be working on the layout tonight, and probably will be on every once in a while. I was up early reading CTT, and read then interview with Mike wolf about 3 times, and the guy has gained my respect again. I will start buying their products again soon. My Seaboard C 420 was repaired, and I recieved a call the other day, and will pick it up soon.
Talk Later.

Good Morning,

It is a nice day here, it got down into the 50’s the past couple of nights and only into the 70’s for high’s. My kind of weather. The wife is out of town until Friday so I am fending for myself for now. Won’t have any "Honey Do’s " to do for a few days though. I have been busy playing with my DVD recorder the past few weeks. I have lots of VHS tapes to transfer and I am also in the process of recording Star Trek episodes and editing out commercials. It takes about 3 hours an episode by the time all editing is done and the final copy is made. With over 100 episodes this is going to take awhile. I still manage to run trains everyday and browse catalogs to dream about my next engine. Hope everyone has a good day.

This morning started out looking like rain at any moment and then the sun broke through around 10:30 and the temp. and humidity started to take off. I guess I play life gaurd, or ref., for the grand-daughters when they go in the pool after lunch.

There was an article in this morning’s paper on Folkston, GA, a.k.a. the Folkston Funnel, as a prime, and friendly, train watching spot. It’s near the FL border above Jacksonville near the entrance to the Okefenokee Nat. Wildlife Refuge.

hey guys
nothing going on right now. Just came back in from seein a little bit of playing. I got my bike yeaterday. It was $380, and is the best out there right now. It is the Mirra 540, and it is unique because the chain drive is on the left side, rather then the right. It’s frame is not painted, just raw metal. It still has the welding marks on it, and it looks awesome. I cannot wait to unleash myself all over the course i plan to go to. It will be so much fun. All of those ramps, and gaps and all the rails.

Hey Chiefie, How’s the layout construction coming ?
Maybe you should call a truce and get all the Buckeyes down for a few days to knock it out. About 25 gallons of Grits and Sweet Tea should do it.
Speaking of windows, would you believe I am taking out some 15 year old Andersons and replacing them with vinyl awning windows. I think there’s 27 of them and many are only reachable by scaffold. Oh well thats what the guy wants, not my money !!! Hope I can get this job finished this year, but with changes already taking place, maybe March 2006. Off to play trains. I did post some pics with the new Nicon; see what you think…Later …Tim

Back from the NC Mountains. Wedding was at a beautiful place. Lake Lure where “Dirty Dancing” was filmed. Was forced to do some dancing myself. [;)] Gas was cheaper in a little mountain town than anywhere along interstate. Gas went up 8 cents a gallon here since we left yesterday morning. [:(!][V] Glad we cancled the long trip farther up into the mountains. Pam’s Uncle [her Dad’s side] died yesterrday afternoon with heart attack. Healthy and had no signs of any problems. Went to eat at his daughter’s [wife out of town]. Daughter came home and found him in rocky chair [gone]. Later.

Good Afternoon Everyone. Sorry to hear of Chiefs’ wifes’ uncle passing. Getting ready here for my friend to come over, that just decided to get onto 0-gauge. I showed him our forum & hope he gets on. Oh, nice pictures TIM, & didn’t you say you were starting to take flying lessons a while back ? If so , how are you coming ? I might be thinking of the wrong person, can’t remember now. Thanks, John

Hey Tom,

Hope you have a nice visit today with Buckeye and his wife. Great folks and I’m looking forward to their next trip back to WNY.

My son was home from Kent, OH for the weekend and it was good to see him. He just turned 21 and I’m sure he had his first beer[:-,][:-,]

Going to be working with a bunch of HS youth for a few days at a camp. I always look forward to being with them. They are a lot of fun.

Hope you all had a good weekend!

Tom

Chief, sorry to hear about Pam’s uncle. She is in our payers.

Tom - Buckeye and his lovely wife just left. I always injoy his visits.

Yes John, I have another lesson scheduled for the 2nd Sept. Just taking a few here and there as time and money allows.
Will post some aeriel views of the ranch after I take the next lesson and buzz the neighbors.
Also John the building looks great…Tim

hey, funny story to tell. I was riding my bike when a cat when ran out in front of me. I SLAMMED on the front brake, and i flew over the handlebars, and the bike landed on me. I started cursing, and then laughed at my mistake.Luckily i put my hands out to prevent slamming my face into the ground. Luckily my bike did not get scratched. I want to take the front brake off, and my parents will not let me.

talk tomorrow.

OK Buckeyes. Better watch out. May be some serious building going on real soon. First Tobacco Allotment Buyout check came while I was gone. Track and switches money. [:D] Picked 4 gallons of blueberries at Father-in-law’s this afternoon. An acre of bushes and they are hanging. [:D]

4 gallons of blackberries and 10,000 chiggers. [(-D]
Don’t scratch to hard.
