the price of all-metal locomotives these days

You had me for a moment there until I realized what scale that is. Good one, Mark! [(-D][bow]

What scale is that?

Yeah I know…I had to sell my rolls don’t hardly to buy one.[sigh]

If I’m guessing correctly, based on the fact that there’s a seat cushion on the coal/water bunker area, it’s 1-1/2" scale, or 1/8-scale. Live steam. 7.5" gauge. [:)]

And I’d love to have the money/time/space for one of those setups. [sigh]

It is a 7.25/7.5 inch gauge, 120-psi live steam locomotive. It weighs 850 lbs. and is about 8 feet long. It requires a 40-foot minimum radius, but higher is recommended.

Hey, the most expensive kit is cheaper than a BMW![:D]The BIG problem is, I can’t afford it![:(] [|(]

Hmmmmm…I wonder if I can run it on my N scale layout. [;)]

Stan.

That’s not the real problem.

The real problem is the cost of building a layout, which runs about $150/sq. ft. A modest sized 1 acre layout (43,500 sq ft.) would cost you $6,525,000.

I can afford the BMW. It’s the Learjet I can’t afford. http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2002/0930/400054.html [(-D]
