Is this the old thread you were mentioning (most recent post)? First post in thread.
I would not doubt that some of it may have been lost (due to issues with the maximum amount of text that was automatically migrated over, and as you mention lots of the old picture links are now dead links), but if that is the thread it seems to still exist.
I found it just by searching for “Flyer” and it was the first thread in the search result, probably due to the huge number (2561) of posts!
