I recently purchased an HO scale Bachman Thomas the Tank Engine for my son’s layout. I found that it has an unusual coupler and was wondering if there was a way to convert this to a more conventional Kaydee type coupler. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Does it have the european/G-scale type? The harry potter train this this type.
Why would bachman put european copolars on these trains?
Asutte8888,
I didn’t see a direct answer in a quick glance at Kadee’s conversions, but you might try going to their Web site:
http://www.kadee.com
and using their Email link to ask them if they have come up with a conversion, as yet unlisted, for Thomas.

All of Bachmann’s European trains (Harry Potter, Irish, Thomas, etc.) have international link and loop style couplers.

Your question is more properly posed on the Bachman website.

It is not that the question is inappropriate here, I think Randy is suggesting that you might get a better response on the Bachmann forum. Go to http://www.bachmanntrains.com/ , click your country choise, and look for the “Ask the Bach-man” forum.
